Nice to meet you, I’m Liz

I have always loved cooking and valued a healthy lifestyle. As a teacher for over ten years, my passion lies in learning. In my free time while teaching, I studied nutrition, cooking and healthy eating. After the birth of my second child, I learned how food can heal.

How Nourish Became

When my daughter was two months old, she developed shoulder-to-toe eczema. At five months, my husband and I learned of her multiple food allergies. We felt hopeless and out of options. A friend suggested using her diet to heal her, and with no other options, we decided to try. I learned everything I could about healing eczema through diet and worked with holistic practitioners for help. We then found an incredible holistic program to treat her food allergies. For two years, we used various holistic interventions to heal her body, but a constant was for her to eat a clean and microbiome-restorative diet. We also made changes throughout our home to reduce the toxic load on her body. These changes, paired with our other interventions, healed her eczema and her food allergies, allowing her to eat freely. The changes we made for our daughter translated to better health for our entire family, including my son. To continue my learning, I completed a nutrition health coaching program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My passion for teaching connects with my passion for nutrition to help families make healthier, informed choices in their homes. I follow an anti-inflammatory, whole-foods diet that is tailored to the needs of each family and child. With over 40 percent of American children suffering from at least one type of chronic illness, it is time to reevaluate how our diet impacts our health.

My goal is to help parents encourage their children to love and enjoy nourishing foods that lay the foundation for a healthy life.

A majority of the toxic load our bodies carry come from the products we use in our home and put on our skin. With this package, we will ensure that you are significantly reducing your family's toxic load by swapping out your cleaning and personal care products. I will complete an intake of what products you are currently using and will send you a replacement list of swaps that are non-toxic and safer for yourself, your children and your pets. We will discuss how to reduce the toxic load in your home by discussing easy and inexpensive daily habits that will significantly improve your health.

Pantry Refresh

Together, we will clean out your pantry, fridge and freezer to ensure what you’re eating aligns with your health goals. We will review different ingredients and the impact they have on your body. This service culminates with a customized list to restock your pantry with healthy staples and snacks. You will also receive sample grocery lists and weekly menus using the pantry staples in your refresh list as well as suggested recipes for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. As an additional option, we can also take a trip to the store or farmer’s market together so that I can guide you on how to select the most nutritious and delicious foods for your family. It’s not about emptying your pantry, but about filling it with foods that will nourish your family and improve your health.

Cooking Classes

Come cook with me! Organize a group of friends for a “moms night out” cooking class where we will review and create multiple recipes that will delight and nourish your families. During class, we will discuss how to choose the healthiest ingredients and which ones to avoid.

I also offer “mommy and me” cooking classes for moms and their children. The best way to get kids to try new foods is to get them involved in the kitchen. This fun, interactive experience will empower your children to eat nutritious and delicious foods.
